Analysis
IIT JEE 2009 Physics paper was very easy. Almost 50% of questions were asked from Mechanics (i.e., from Std. XIth according to CBSE syllabus). Remaing 50% were asked from Std. XIIth (according to CBSE syllabus). Pattern was quite similar to that of previous three years papers with a little variation. There were not any "Assertion-Reason" questions. "Integer type question" were introduced for the first time this year. There were no options to integer type questions. Answers had value from 0 to 9. Multiple correct options had negative marking. There were no negative markings for multiple correct options in the previous years. Overall paper was really very easy and a little higher cutoff can be expected for this year. Actually IITs want that student should rely least on coaching centres. Therefore they are inclining towards school syllabus. You dont need to study Irodov and Krotov now. Very less conceptual questions were asked this year; many simple questions of 12th level were asked. Only crystal clear concept is required for IIT JEE.
